Kid Icarus: Uprising – Review of the Nintendo 3DS Game

Out of all the great games I play each and every year, it seems there is one title per year that I can’t seem to put down until it gets naturally lost in the shuffle of other games, and gradually fades from memory. In all honesty, I really, really didn’t expect the reemergence of Nintendo’s long lost hero Kid Icarus to be that game.

Warriors Orochi 3 Review

Dynasty Warriors has always been a series near and dear to my heart. I’ve read through the book it’s based on at least twice a year since I was in the fourth grade [Seriously, I recommend Three Kingdoms to everyone who likes the series]. The characters and stories in the book have always held my interest. While the games haven’t always been 100% accurate and are quickly moving away from reality more and more, they still hold my interest just as strongly. The Samurai Warriors series was always a forethought in my mind. It seemed interesting enough, but I wasn’t nearly as invested in that era of history as I was in the end of the Han Dynasty. I knew it had the same gameplay, but that wasn’t enough for me. Then Warriors Orochi hit in 2007. While the storyline diverged from the norm, it had an intriguing twist – the tearing of dimensions and throwing Samurai and Dynasty Warriors into the same jar and shaking it violently to make them fight.

Dragon’s Dogma Review

For some reason, I thought Dragon’s Dogma was going to go under the majority of the gaming community’s collective radar. It had an underwhelming demo that didn’t do the game justice or properly represent a good 80% of what the game is. Doesn’t help that you only got to play for about fifteen minutes… I thought for sure the game would be overshadowed by the release of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier since they hit shelves the same day. I’ve realized that I was very wrong though. Plenty of people found their way to this gem and are chipping away far too many hours playing it – myself included.

Men In Black 3 Review: Protecting The Galaxy On IOS And Android

Barring another dominant performance from The Avengers, the top movie this weekend should be Men in Black 3 (sorry, Chernobyl Diaries), the big-budget sequel starring Will Smith and a whole bunch of computer-generated aliens. To capitalize on this potential success, Gameloft has a Men in Black 3 video game for iOS and Android. Even better, it’s free. Just don’t go into this title expecting to run around blasting bad guys.
